I mentioned this was a strict Muslim part of Malaysia and this means in many places alcohol is forbidden - even in our Renaissance chain hotel.
We were, however, tipped off that in a local Chinese restaurant beer was available. So after three ' dry' days this was the best, ice cold, beer I have ever tasted!!!
(Spot the plastic garden chairs again).
