The printer at work. He dips the stencil into a vat of boiling dye and applies the pattern to the silk. He may then change the stencil and the colour and do one or more overprints to achieve the final finish.
Working next to the boiling dye in a temperature of 32C gives real meaning to the phrase 'sweat shop'.
